Here's a letter from the Author to me:
Dear Jay,
Thank you for your letter and for sharing your journey of "awakening" with me.
I think your interpretation of your vision is absolutely correct, and in fact you have had that confirmed to you. You did keep your mind open and so The Secret came into your life. I also think through your vision, you were tapping into a future possibility with the "blackboard" being featured in The Secret. At that time it was a possibility in the field of creation, which then became a reality.
You know that you are on track. You know that you are connected. You have had your vision confirmed for you, through The Secret. And most certainly, if you feel inside you that you have a mission for your country, then I would say it is most certainly an intention you set before this lifetime, and is in your blueprint. When one finds one's purpose, it is like your heart has been set alight with passion. You absolutely know it, without any doubt.
May the joy be with you, in all that you do.

Jay's Secret
One of the most wonderful things happened to me last August 1, 2007. It started as a normal day but it ended as the beginning of a great life.
As you can see, that day "The Secret" was given to me. "The Secret" is a book written by Ms Rhonda Byrne, it presents the teachings of all the great men in our history from Plato, Galileo, Shakespeare, Hugo, Beethoven, Edison, Einstein, and if I might add, Jose Rizal as well. The teachings are the "secrets" to life - the secrets to "success in life." It is a source of joy and happiness.
After reading the book I realized that "The Secret" is true. In my own personal experiences and through the course of my life, I had noted of great lessons and truths about the world - and "The Secret" presents it all. The book (and DVD) is a testament to the Great Author of our lives.
In this homepage, I will set out to spread the message of "The Secret" to the millions of Filipinos around the world that are looking for a great tomorrow for themselves, for their families, and their countrymen.
"The Secret" will bring you, your dreams and aspirations in life. The lessons are simple and easy to learn and live out. Be prepared to change your life now and buy the book.
My life has been a testament to "The Secret's" authenticity. I was born in Cotabato City almost 26 years ago on a misty morning around 4:32AM. I was born to two wonderful parents who would do everything to provide for our family.
My childhood life was simple. Our family though came from great families from Luzon and Visayas who settled in Mindanao after the Second World War ended in 1945.
I lived a normal life. I went to school during the regular school year and spent summer vacations on my grandparents farm in Sultan Kudarat. I spent countless of times wondering how great the world is - the mountains, the rivers and creeks, the forest jungles, the birds, the animals, and the farmers and their families. Every year, I would always look up to my summer vacations because I loved the once-a-year first-hand connection with nature.
I was a happy-go-lucky student though. I was not very much into academics. But it all changed during one relatively ordinary day when a younger cousin visited our house. He already knew how to read the leading daily paper at that time which was the Malaya. My dad chided me for this fact and so little Jay began his long journey on becoming a "genius."

He already knew how to read the leading daily paper at that time which was the Malaya. My dad chided me for this fact and so little Jay began his long journey on becoming a "genius."
(Let me quote Robert Kiyosaki here "A genius is someone who finds the geni inside of him or herself. Just as Aladdin found the geni inside the bottle, each of us is to find the geni inside of ourselves. That is where the word genius comes from. A genius is someone who has found the magical person inside him or herself. A genius is someone who found the gift he or she was given.")
When my dad chided me for not knowing how to read yet, it struck me. And so I started giving importance to my education. Today, not everyone know that I belonged to the last section in my elementary days but the transformation sent me to the first section and even graduating as a top student. Still, I didn't really put much thought into my achievements at that time (despite what some classmates may say). I was more interested in playing Pinoy games, the Nintendo, the Gameboy, and other stuff.
I entered high school without much fanfare as well. But it was during this time that I discovered novels and books - and I read a lot of them. High school life seemed ordinary to me. Because I did a lot of reading, I already knew many of what my teachers were telling us. It got to a point where I lost all interest in school and would rather stay home and play.
One day I was called inside the principal's office and I was threatened with expulsion. They were ready to expel me! I was nearing the 20% limit allowed for absences in school - to be exact, my absences were already at 19.6% of the school year! The threat woke me up from my slumber and I realized my wrongdoing. But I always knew our educational system needs improving!
My realization gave me momentum. I went to class again (diligently) and made my homework and other stuff. From being Rank 21, I shot up to become NUMERO UNO - at the TOP! It went so well that I graduated at the top of my batch in 1998. I thought I had it all at that time.
ENTER COLLEGE
I had no idea yet of who or what I want to be when I finished high school and so I took up Computer Science - being the in thing at that time.
But it was not to be - I didn't like Computer Science at all. But having chosen it and because of my pride I continued. On my second year, I failed two (yes two!) major subjects and so was advised to shift to another course. I couldn't accept it and so I left school for good - or so I thought.
I came back to Cotabato City and did some soul-searching. I even stayed at our farm for six months. I was living the GOOD LIFE - all the fresh food I could eat, all the movies I could watch and all the free time I could get. I got to see so many mountains, rivers, creeks, caves, and beaches - it was really like living a dream.
Until one day after a strong storm hit the area and I almost drowned in a river I thought was not deep. It was the most vivid near death experience (NDE) I had (I have three). For a few seconds there, I really thought I would die. But then I regained my strength and remembered I knew how to swim.
After that ordeal, I went back to Cotabato City and decided to come back to school. I believe I have more to do in life and so I accepted the fact that I was going back to school "older" than who my classmates are going to be.
During the waiting period for the semester to begin, a great dream visited me. I dreamt of an old man (with a long beard much like a hermit) giving me a lesson on life. We were in the middle of a garden and there was a blackboard on one side. The old man stood up from the big rock he was sitting on, wrote "Awakening" on the blackboard and gave me the chalk. After that, I woke up to three knocks on my door but when I opened the door there was nobody there - and it was three in the morning and of course, it gave me the goosebumps. (You have to read the book to understand this part of my story...)
And so my first lesson in philosophy was given. I always interpreted that dream as telling me I was to write my own mission in life - I was in short going to create the life that I wanted. Seeing the blackboard as blank gave me confidence that indeed I am to write my life story. I took the word the old man had written as my guiding principle, to be awakened to the truth in the world - to be awakened to "The Secret" (or secrets) of Life (more on that later).
I took up a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce Majoring in Management Accounting when I came back to college and I became again the Class President. I did my job well (I believe so), I would set up remedial classes so my classmates can review with me on our lessons in school especially with regards accounting and philosophy. I became a consistent dean's lister and I truly enjoyed myself in school.
My life seemed perfect at that time and I think in many respects it was. I was happy, I had many friends and my relationship with my parents have been good again.
After college, I took my first job with Diethelm (Philippines) Inc. as management trainee (and sort of head of special projects for the business unit I was assigned to), and I led the team that developed the first ever sales productivity measurement system within the company (and within the global group as well).

I loved my job. I was reporting directly to the Vice-President for Sales and I was living in Laguna. From being a simple boy in Cotabato City, to an "old" college student in Davao City - I was now close to Manila, the nation's capital.
Because Diethelm (Philippines) Inc. encountered financial difficulties, we (including the other management trainees) were let go by the company. And so I accepted work as a third-party manager working for the largest consumer goods company in the country handling three accounts: Puregold Price Club, S&R Membership Shopping, and Metro Gaisano. I managed its operations for over 20 supermarket branches and almost 70 store personnel. They provided me a car, gasoline allowance, meal allowance and other stuff.
But I was still searching for something - I was still chasing God, chasing the meaning of my life. I have read probably a thousand books at this time including the encyclopedia volumes back in my grandparents' house. But still, I was short of the answers to my questions.
I had already achieved what seemed impossible and yet my life seemed wanting still. Because of what I have written last August 9, 2006 which was published in the Letter to the Editor Section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer about "Let's Start the Revolution of the Filipino Youth," I have met Alexander L. Lacson, author of the "12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do To Help Our Country." I have met Nandy Pacheco, founder of the Kapatiran Party. I have met Gen. Manuel Mariano (retired), former head of the AFP Logistics Command under former President Corazon Aquino. I have met Joe Tale, new chairman of Gawad Kalinga.

I have met Mr. Willy Arcilla, former head of the Carbonated Softdrinks division of Coca-Cola China and now regional director of Ward Howell Philippines. I have met Gang Badoy, founder of RockEd Philippines. I have met Joel Torre, Ronnie Lazaro and Jun Urbano (Mr Shooli) in Joel Torre's BBQ resto at JT's Manukan. And I have met Art Valdez, expedition leader of Kaya ng Pinoy (First Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition Team), and Erly de Guzman, founder of Galing Pilipino Movement (GPM).
I have met all these people and continue to be friends with them. Meeting them is part of my dream of building a prosperous Philippines - a country we can all be proud of, and a country in abundance.
After reading a lot of books, meeting lots of people and doing some soul-searching, I have come to a great discovery - "The Secret" by Ms Rhonda Byrne and all its teachers in our history.
Last August 1, 2007, a friend bought me a copy at Powerbooks Shangri-La Mall where on a particularly lucky day, it was on sale at 20% discount. My friend tells me now that the discount is gone. But alas I have my own copy. (Another friend would tell me that she got a copy after going to 4 bookstores across Metro Manila!)
The book has confirmed and continues to affirm my beliefs - my Life. All throughout my existence I have held the belief that I have the Power to Change the World - in my hands, in my mind, and in my very heart. And I have always held the belief that I CAN THINK MY WAY TO SUCCESS. If I ask, believe that I will get it, then I will receive it.

The power to have what You want is inside of You. You only have to BELIEVE.
I am sharing this to help You understand these secrets and help You use it to achieve Your dreams in life. The Universe responds to Your thoughts, words and actions, and so it is very important that the message You sent it are what You truly want.
"The Secret" lays down the Law of Attraction which governs our lives, our world, our universe much like the law of gravity. Simply put, it means that like attracts like.
"The Secret" lays down the Law of Attraction which governs our lives, our world, our universe much like the law of gravity. Simply put, it means that like attracts like.
If You think You are happy, that You are successful in life - then the universe will be creating the very circumstances to make it happen for You.
It may seem simple and even crazy at first. But think back on Your life. There have already been many cases in Your life when you THOUGHT your way to something or someone. The Secret can teach You how to make this a habit and create powerful lives for all of us.
All great men in our history including those still living today know The Secret. And I believe it is also high time that everyone learn of this, specially my fellow Filipinos.
Today is a great day for You.
Go out and buy "The Secret" book by Rhonda Byrne and take hold of Your Life. After reading the book, You must have unwavering faith to The Secret. As in lessons You have learned since You were young, practice makes perfect.
I, myself, am still practicing it. I may have known these secrets since my early childhood days but only now do I realize that there are others who know it too.
We are truly on the verge of a Great Century where the world is in Abundance. You hold it in Your hands, Your mind, and Your Heart, whether You become a part of this great adventure.
I didn't accidentally meet all these people I've mentioned earlier - I thought of meeting them and I did!

The life I am living today is a result of my past thoughts, feelings and actions - foremost of which are my thoughts. We have around 60,000 thoughts per day - imagine if You can control them and see them become a reality.
